First and foremost, hello! and best wishes for a happy 2011 to you all! I hope you all had a very happy holiday season. I was away for quite some time and quite busy, but I am pleased to finally begin sharing about what all has happened a little bit at a time.
First of all, I am no longer in the Netherlands. Back in 2009 I visited with friends and family and shared a little on this blog about what I felt 2010 would have in store for me [click here to see that entry]. I wasn't actually sure what that would be when I shared that then, but I knew for sure there would be at least some change around the corner. I will share more soon all about the latest happenings [possibly in a brand new blog linked to this one], while I continue to maintain and update this A Touch of Dutch blog — So I'm not going away! I feel sharing about a lot of this anyway will be helpful as well for anyone who goes from being an expat in one country to repatriation or moving on to another country as an expat, so do stay tuned.
Coming soon, whenever I do have enough time and internet access, I will share here not only about the changes I've been going through, but also I will keep this blog updated as best as I can about life in the Netherlands. In the meantime, I encourage you all to read some of the great expats in the Netherlands blogs which I have featured about here before, and those entries you can find by clicking here. I will be featuring a few more blogs written by expats in the Netherlands soon as well.

WOW. No longer in The Netherlands?!? I can hardly wait to hear what and where you're up to!
Glad you had a nice holiday season! Looking forward to hearing where you are at now!
@ Marit, Ginnie & Kelt Queen: Thank you so much! I'll be updating soon :-) For now, thanks again & I wish you each a great week!
I was wondering why we had not heard from you for a while. I hope you are doing well.
@ Sonya & Invader_Stu: Thank you! :-)
New beginning is a good thing, welcome back (although it's no longer in NL) :)

I'm looking forward to hearing about your new expat adventures! Wishing you all the best!!
Life is a journey! Can't wait to read about yours! Good luck!
Hi, that is a big surprise - best of luck with the repatriation and all of your future plans, wherever they may take you.
@ Aledys Ver, Philly Girl Abroad & Dave Hampton: Thank you very much! I'll be back to writing very soon. Until then, I wish you all the best :-)
New adventures would bring more stories to share! There are many green fields to conquer and we must enjoy life to the fullest.
@ Kathryn Garnet: Thank you for your comment on this! I'm just beginning again with the blogging and there is so much to share. I'm happy and excited to begin again!
simply superb frnd very good keep posting
Hi, my name is Fabio and I've been living in the Nehterlands for a while now. I have been silently following your blog for almost two years ('mensen kijken' was one of my favourite entry) but never got in touch.. I hope that everything is going great back in the US. I have always felt a touch of jealousy for those expats like you who at some point are happy going back home, which is something I don't feel like doing for a number of reasons. Anyway, thanks for your blogging and too bad I have missed the chance to meet you while in the kikkerland!
Great luck for your new beginnings! Strangely though I have also moved out of the Netherlands! :) Looking forward to reading about your new travels and other stories..take care!
hey! Ik denk dat dit prachtig is!!!
Er zijn weinig Americanen die goed Nederlands spreken, dus ik vind je KNAP!!!! O en je kook kunsten!! Geweldig. Ben van Suriname, woon in USA
Hoe heb je je blog zo mooi gemaakt? vertel je me? R
Oh no! I just found out about this blog, via the writer of Life Abroad, and was excited to start reading! Glad to hear that you'll still keep it up, and best of luck in your new endeavors :)
A special thanks to everyone for your comments here! I've been extremely busy since I departed Nederland and hope to be able to update more frequently here, as I haven't completed what all I originally set out to share. Living in the Netherlands was an experience that I certainly will never forget, and I hope to somehow continue helping those who embark upon the same adventure I once experienced.
@ Radha: Bedankt!
